British nationals travelling as tourists entering New Zealand without a visa will need to hold an ETA (Electronic Travel Authority) before travelling to New Zealand. You will be able to apply for an ETA from July 2019. It will run for 2 years and will cost NZD 9 if you apply from a mobile device or NZD12 if you apply on a website.
An International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy (IVL) will also be introduced alongside the ETA and will cost NZD 35 but will last as long as the ETA is valid.
